Our Buddies are one of the most important parts of our league.  The Miracle League uses a “buddy” system- pairing each player with an able-body peer. The result is a bond that cannot be described.  This is what we have started here in New Castle.  A buddy has to go through a 1 hour training session prior to games and if over the age of 18 must pass a background check. The buddies will be taught to respect the player. We teach each buddy to speak person first when it comes to a player with a disability. We also teach how to handle players with different abilities.   We will show the buddy how to protect their player while in the field and at bat.  We strive to teach our buddies to let the player play as much as possible on their own.  Each game is only an hour and a half long and we only ask you to come a half hour prior to games.  Being a buddy will “change” your life.  If you would like to be a buddy and help out our players please download a registration form from this site!

Rules of the game are easy. There are no outs; everyone gets to bat every inning, and the last batter up hits a homerun!

All games will be played this year at Baker Park ball diamonds.  Located at the corner of M and Ross Ave, in front of New Castle High School, New Castle.
